The title sponsorship and high-level partnership packages will be negotiated on a bespoke basis. Examples of benefits that could be included are;
The partners/sponsors product brand heavily placed on the boat, on all marketing collateral and across the project’s digital footprint. This may include visibility in both the book and the docu-film.
The opportunity to run a competition across all of the partners/sponsors and the projects social media platforms inviting the partner/sponsors target customers to name the boat, then the winner of the competition could be flown to the partner/sponsors chosen location where they would christen and launch the boat in the traditional way by swinging and smashing a bottle on the hull. If done properly this could significantly expand the partner/sponsors global digital footprint
A unique project logo to be co-designed with the partner/sponsor and used on all project marketing collateral, clothing and equipment. This logo will be displayed in all project specific interviews, public appearances and at all project events for the duration of the project
Access to Damian, Fergus and the boat to speak/appear at events, trade shows,
customer/client events etc. (It will be necessary to manage these appearances around Damian and Fergus’s training schedule). There can also be an event in New York prior to the commencement of the row and events in Ireland post row. Certain project content pre, during and post row, fed directly to the partner/sponsors chosen social media channels
Exclusive right to stage the row homecoming at Galway Docks and the row departure event in New York
A 2 night/3-day residential personal development and leadership learning experience for 30 of the partner/sponsors invited learners. Damian would lead this programme and the fee for his time would be covered in the sponsorship/partnership package, however the accommodation, food, beverage, room hire and co-facilitator costs etc would have to be covered by the sponsor/partner
The partner/sponsor could run social media competitions targeted at their potential customers where the prize could be a trip to the West of Ireland where Damian and Fergus could take the winners out onto Galway Bay for a Wild Atlantic Rowing experience where they would be tutored in Ocean Rowing and would have the opportunity to row the Wild Atlantic Way with one of the World’s premier ocean oarsmen
The funding will be generated through a number of key initiatives including the establishment of select high level partnerships, the sale of the project title sponsorship rights, a crowd funding campaign and the establishment of a project 500 club. The project will generate unique and compelling content that will speak to millions across various territories.
Project partners will have access to this content which they can use to drive
connectivity in their key source markets and target segments. This really is a once in a life time opportunity to access content that may never be generated again.
During Damian’s solo trans-Atlantic row in the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge he was the first person ever to post regular video diaries (VLOGS) from the ocean using a satellite link up called a BGAN. The results, traction and reach were nothing short of spectacular. His total reach on Facebook was 1,515,900 with 149,100 total clicks/actions.
On instagram he generated over 1,000 individual likes for each photo that he posted and the videos he uploaded had 175,581 views. Damian has also been interviewed and profiled in all major online and offline media channels in Ireland and on some international channels..
